Measuring an amount requires the use of a specific type of instrument. In laser and optical applications, although precisely known, these amounts challenge the measurements. As the photons flow is proven and analyzed, many existing effects should be taken into account. These effects are minimized in instruments designed to perform such measurements. Coherent’s scientists and engineers, supported by the experience and application of thousands of users, have developed an accurate, robust, sophisticated, and easy-to-operate instrumentation line. For laser power or energy measurement there is a range of meters and analyzers that cover all lasers available in the market. Laser beam profile or propagation can be seen as images and can be analyzed with a beam profiler or propagation analyzer. Spectral measures may include wavelength of line sources, spectral mode shape and laser line width, spectral analysis of broad bandwidth and narrow bandwidth power supplies from a single wavelength.
