Coherent’s high-power infrared diode lasers are manufactured with InGaAsP, in other words, they are aluminum-free. This allows our diodes to have exceptional lifetime since the major cause of flaws has been eliminated: oxidation of the aluminum in the laser facets. High brilliance and narrow bandwidth diodes are also available in the red area.
