Photoreactor

Luzchem Research, founded at 1997, manufactures specialized instrumentation for the study of the interaction of light with materials, including photostability chambers, xenon illuminators, solar simulators, spectroradiometers, laser flash photolysis equipment, thin film analyzers and spectroscopy supplies.

Luzchem offers a wide range of UV-Visible exposure tools for controlled irradiation of a wide range of materials. Top irradiation is ideal for solids, paper and some biological samples, while side irradiation is usually preferred for liquids. Different wavelength ranges in the UV and visible regions are available from both broadband fluorescent lamps and xenon lamps. Flourescent lamps are compatible with Rayonet reactors including RPR-100 RPR-200 and RMR-600. Various configurations of photoreactors are available.

Top irradiation is ideal for solids, paper and some biological samples; while side irradiation is usually preferred for liquids. Different wavelength ranges in the UV and visible regions are available from both broadband fluorescent lamps, LED lamps and xenon lamps. Fluorescent lamps are compatible with many Rayonet reactors including RPR-100, RPR-200 and RMR-600. Various configurations of photoreactors are available.

Internal dimensions of irradiation chambers are approximately 12 inches wide, 12 inches deep, and 8.5 inches high (30 x 30 x 22 cm). Several switches allow the choice of specific lamps. Fan and exhaust lines are included with most chambers, although the exhaust is only necessary when UVC or Full UV Xenon lamps are used. UV-limiting safety goggles are also supplied with each unit. All photoreactors are air-cooled (no need to worry about water lines, water leaks, or algae formation). The excellent air flow design stabilizes most model's temperature about 4-7 degrees Celsius above room temperature. Several models offer full computer control via a USB interface.

Note: Most photoreactors are manufactured for 110V, 50/60 Hz unless otherwise indicated. As a result, a transformer is needed for clients in countries where 220V is the standard.
